AMAZING ENTERTAINMENT IN MACAU

Macau is a city that I have well and truly fallen in love with. The sheer amount of attractions and phenomenal entertainment the city has to offer makes it a worthwhile holiday destination for everyone.

As you can probably tell from my previous blogs, I felt extremely lucky to be in Macau and experience each day along side my beautiful friend. Even when I look back to edit the videos now I can't help but be amazed at the places we visited. This day was one of those 'pinch me' days.

At the start of the day we walked over to Studio City and met with Rachel's friend Geoff, who kindly escorted us around the resort to see and experience some of the entertainment attractions.

Named as Asia's first leisure resort, the hotel and casino was designed to bring your wildest imagination to life and does this with a touch of class too.

The Golden Reel

The beauty of being accompanied by Geoff was that he could explain the planning and thought process behind the world's highest figure- 8 Ferris wheel. It was inspired by a story about two asteroids crashing through the front of the building and leaving the hole that is now filled by the Golden Reel.

I loved being up in the air looking out at Macau from 130 metres in the sky, the cabins were steam-punk themed too and the ride itself was an absolute treat.

If you're thinking of going to Macau, you should consider seeing the city from The Golden Reel.

Batman Dark Flight

As if being high in the sky wasn't enough for one day, we were then taken on a simulation ride with Batman!

I'm a huge fan of augmented reality and flight simulation and this 4D adventure was multi-sensory, action packed and visually brilliant. Without giving too much away - you join Batman on his journey to fight the villains and it's nothing like you've ever experienced.

You don't need to know anything about Batman to enjoy this ride, it's a great experience and one i'm glad to have enjoyed.

The House of Magic

To end the tour of Studio City, Geoff took us into Asia's Epicentre of Magic by Franz Harary.

The house includes three theatres which you are taken on a magic journey through. You will notice that I didn't film much of this experience because I literally didn't want to miss a trick and the magicians have you hooked from the moment that you walk in.

You really do have to witness the incredible illusions at The House of Magic

Sands Casino

As mentioned in my earlier blogs, Rachel was in a band called Fifth Street and most nights were spent in the Xanadu Lounge in Sands Casino where I would enjoy the amazing performances and shows by the house band and dancers.

Along with Fifth Street, there were also two dancing groups named Sands Sirens and Colombian All Stars who would perform night after night with breath taking shows for those enjoying a cocktail in the lounge.

The video for this particular night includes a snap shot of the incredibly talented Sands Siren Show girls - who quite frankly are five of the most beautiful and down to earth girls i've met. Erin, Kelly, Emma, Heather and Yasmin lit up the room with their huge smiles and stunning costumes. Watching them perform to the same high standard, no matter whether they had been dancing all day or for a few hours, made me want to get straight back to dance and learn their choreography.

But not only were they talented, they were just lovely people and it was great to have met them.

.... SOPPY ALERT

One of the realisations i had on this day was how much Rachel is loved. We've been friends for 12 years and i'm obviously very fond of her but witnessing the relationships she's built with amazing people from the other side of the world just makes me very proud to be her friend.

I hope you enjoy the video!
