THE BIGGEST CASINO IN THE WORLD

Day four started in The Venetian, a luxury hotel and the casino resort. Which also happens to be the largest single structure hotel building in Asia and is modelled on The Venetian in Las Vegas. It's located just across the road from Rachel's hotel and is owned by the same company, Sands.

We began with a snoop around the shops and I was delighted to find a Lush! I couldn't resist buying a couple of bath bombs for me and Rachel. - They are still as amazing in quality at the other side of the world.

Running through the resort is a canal where you can take a ride on a gondola. The attention to detail around this area sets the scene beautifully too. Of course we went on one our gondolier was a great character! His voice was out of this world. We shared a boat with three Chinese women who were also as impressed by his singing as we were.

Then we walked through the casino area to take a look at what the Largest Casino in the World is all about and we had a nosey at the bar Rachel used to work in when she was the lead singer of Phunk Shui Band. The casino has over 3400 slot machines and 800 gambling tables. I couldn't get over the sheer amount of people that play in the casino throughout the day and the passion that they clearly have about gambling.

There's not one bone in my body that is interested in gambling, I don't understand why you would want to risk your money. But after visiting Macau I learnt that some do it as a profession - their way to earn a living. Furthermore, it's also really embedded into the culture and many enjoy gambling as a hobby.

We then headed over to The City of Dreams to take a look at the mermaid featured wall and the highlight of the day was of course watching The House of Dancing Waters. One of Rachel's friends was in the show and it was honestly the best live performance I've ever seen. From the moment I walked into the room I could tell it was going to be different compared with anything i'd ever seen before and the show continued to wow me throughout. I could have filmed every single moment and I wanted to, so that i could show my family what an amazing experience it was but i did put down my camera to take it in all of the magic around me. - There are some snippets of the show in my vlog, however i would highly recommend seeing the show live.

Afterwards we ate at The Hard Rock Cafe! Another fantastic part of the day. We didn't have long to spend in there because Rachel had to go to work, but we had enough time to enjoy our meal and take in the fantastic surroundings. The food was delicious and it was great to look at the guitars and music memorabilia.

To end the night I stayed in Rachel's room and had a pamper session while she went to work. I ran myself a hot bath and indulged in the Intergalactic bath bomb that I bought earlier in the day.

A pretty perfect day, don't you agree?
